Breathwork

Breathwork uses continuous, focused and intentional breathing patterns to heal, release and transform. It heals the nervous system by moving out of a sympathetic state (fight, flight, freeze) and into a parasympathetic state (rest and digest). These changes can be seen on a cellular level.

Breathwork is an incredibly useful tool to move unresolved trauma. By listening to our bodies, and creating the safe space within ourselves, it allows processing and releasing of held traumatic patterns. It also allows for reduced stress & anxiety, heightened emotional connection and altered emotional responses, mental clarity, and release of toxins. Through a revitalization of organs, it can reduce chronic internal symptoms such as poor digestion, chronic pain, and chronic fatigue.

Our breathwork facilitator, Brenna Klaverkamp, also includs Reiki application in sessions when appropriate. Brenna offers one on one, or couples appointments, as well as in-person breathwork classes.

Group Breathwork

Group Breathwork classes are held regularly at Instill Therapies. These classes have a maximum of 7 participants per class, and can be booked online through the patient portal link, and found under “scheduled programs”.

Each of Brenna’s breathwork classes has a set intention, and a variety of active guided breathing patterns chosen to enhance that intention. There is time for reflection, both on your own through journalling, or as a group with short insights shared by those who feel comfortable.

Classes are $22.00 (plus gst $23.10) and can be paid via e-transfer to info@instilltherapies.com to hold your place once registered.

A breathwork class can be a great experience for a group of friends, a group of coworkers, or a group of people with a similar condition or goal.
